Punkballs are Death Sphere enemies encountered in the Designer's Cut DLC for Borderlands 3.
Judging by their worn-out and patched-up appearance, these are either production discarded or combat-damaged units COV somehow got their hands on and adapted to their use.
Because of this, they are weaker and/or lack some of the functions of their Maliwan counterparts.
