Crit is a
unique aftermarket submachine gun manufactured by
Maliwan that appears exclusively in
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep. Crit is obtained from the mission
Critical Fail located in
Flamerock Refuge.
Special Weapon Effects
Slippery when wet. – Always shock. Increased overall stats. Has a 12% chance to be dropped on reload. User is healed 2.5% of damage dealt while holding the weapon. Unlisted +150% critical hit damage bonus.
Usage and Description
The Crit's higher stats than an equivalent Gospel makes it useful against shielded enemies or as a Mechromancer using the Little Big Trouble tree, with its general performance on par with legendary submachine guns of the same level.
Notes
- While Gunzerking with the Crit, a reload may cause the weapon in main hand to drop, even if the Crit was never used or the other weapon does not reload (like Infinity).
- This does not affect mission weapons that cannot be dropped (like Grog Nozzle).
- Each character has a unique line of dialogue that is spoken upon "slip-dropping" the gun. This may only be heard while playing in Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep.
- As of the November 21, 2013 patch, the Crit now correctly has its blue rarity, although the mission reward icon is still displayed as purple. This icon discrepancy was caused by a past bug in the parts list for blue-rarity Maliwan Submachine guns, which mandated the use of "Type C" body and erroneously elevated them to purple rarity. Any existing Crits collected before will retain their purple rarity, while others are correctly categorized as blue weapons. This is the only unique Maliwan submachine gun affected by the fix[1].
Trivia
- The flavor text is a phrase commonly found on warning signs used to indicate slippery surfaces nearby. Ironically, slipperiness would be the least of a user's worries when holding a wet Shock weapon.
- As a Moxxi weapon, the phrase is used as a double entendre.
