Acid Burn is a unique grenade mod in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Hyperion and is exclusive to the Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC.. It is obtained from the mission Winners and Losers.

Usage & Description

As the description suggests, Acid Burn is of limited effectiveness universally, but can be put to great use in Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot and Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck as both DLCs have areas with a significant loader presence.

Optimally, the user should aim to convert the strongest bots in the area, both to reduce enemy firepower and also due to their high damage output being useful for softening enemies. Such targets include RPG Loaders and Badass Loaders.

Notes

• The special effect is similar to the NOG Potion 9 which converts NOGs into allies for a limited period.

Trivia

• The name and flavor text are a reference to the 1995 movie Hackers with Acid Burn being an online alias for one of the characters while the flavor text is a quote from the movie.
