Background
Pre-Borderlands 3
Lor was assigned the gender of female at birth, but as Lor progressed through life he realized that this wasn't his identity. Lor began to view himself as non-binary and began to start seriously considering transitioning and exploring all that went into it. However, future events would cause him to have to postpone his transition.[1]
Lor lived on Promethea, where he worked at the No Roast For The Wicked as a barista. He was known to have once served an Arcturian Superblack coffee to Rhys Strongfork, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Atlas Corporation.[2]
When Katagawa Jr., the head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Maliwan, invaded Promethea in an attempt to acquire the Atlas corporation and force its CEO to become his friend, Lor became an anti-Maliwan guerrilla, protecting civilians from Maliwan's private military. During the Maliwan invasion, Wartime General Rhys Strongfork of the Crimson Lance sent Atlas Operative Zer0 to provide Lor with aid in protecting civilians.[3] This eventually led to Lor becoming an Atlas Operative and being placed in charge of Lance Rocketeer Skyman and other Crimson Lance soldiers, whom he led behind enemy lines to protect civilians and disrupt Maliwan's supply lines.[4]
Borderlands 3
The Vault Hunters, when responding to a distress call for the Crimson Raiders, encountered Lor protecting civilians from a Maliwan-backed force of the Children of the Vault (COV) in the Meridian Outskirts on Promethea. The Vault Hunters assist Lor with breaking through the newly arrived COV forces in The Spillways and uncovering evidence of the COV-Maliwan alliance. After arriving at the tunnels, Lor regroups with Skyman and the rest of his Crimson Lance soldiers just in time to defend their base against a COV-Maliwan assault.[4]
Once the assault was repelled, Lor led the Vault Hunters in a counterattack against the Maliwan forces, who had been occupying Atlas' Watershed Base for months. After clearing the outside of Maliwan forces and reinforcements, Lor and the Vault Hunters were ambushed by two Pryotech Heavies as soon as they stepped into Watershed Base. Once the base was secured, Lor repaired the communications table and reestablished communication with Atlas HQ. Lor then gave the Vault Hunters access to Cyclones to use in their mission to take out the Gigamind, while he remained behind to finish reestablishing Watershed Base.[4]
Lor later enlisted the help of the Vault Hunters in restoring Rise and Grind and Dynasty Diner to operational status, supplying the Crimson Lance and refugees with caffeine and food.[5]
Director's Cut
One of Lor's Lancemen was murdered in his home at the Astra Apartments in Eschaton Row while he was taking part in an undercover operation. The Vault Hunters, sent by Ava as a part of her Mysteriouslier podcast, arrive at the crime scene and begin assisting Lor with his investigation. Lor and the Vault Hunters followed the trial of the murderer and discovered that it was a rogue Crimson Lance soldier. After fighting their way through COV and Maliwan forces, Lor finally caught up to the murderer only to watch them get hit by a passing train as they attempted to escape.[6]
New Tales from the Borderlands
One year after the events of Borderlands 3, Lor has completed his transition, and began going by the name "Lor" and using he/him pronouns. He started a coffee shop so good that Fran Miscowicz is willing to accept drinks from it in lieu of cash at Fran's Frogurt.[7]
Lor survives the events of New Tales from the Borderlands and appears in the game's best ending as an employee of Anu, Octavio, and Fran's new corporate consulting business.

Trivia
- Lor likes caffeine (and dislikes those who don't get it for him), keeping people alive who depend on him, and flirting. He also loves his motorcycle. He is in his twenties during the events of Borderlands 3.[1]
- He uses a variety of "curse words" as catchphrases, which include "Slag me".
- It is implied that Zer0 found Lor attractive, due to his interactions upon meeting him for the first time in Borderlands 3.[3]
- Although not directly appearing in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, it is heavily implied that Lor is the creator of the Paladin Mike character. Tina mentions that he got the character from a "cool barista" off the ECHOnet, and additionally stole the creator's accent for the voice.
- In some of the concept animations from the Director's Cut, it is revealed that Lor's design in Borderlands 3 was initially intended for Lilith but was repurposed for an entirely new character.[8]
