Faisor is a legendary assault rifle in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Vladof. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Atomic located in Tazendeer Ruins on Nekrotafeyo.
Special Weapon Effects
Set Faisers to kill.
- Increased weapon damage (around +100%). Always elemental. All parts beside foregrip and magazine are fixed. Will never spawn with 40-round magazine.
- Underbarrel shotgun fires a cluster of 8x elemental energy balls, dealing 4.2x weapon damage as splash damage each.
Usage & Description
The Faisor functions like any conventional Vladof assault rifle and should be used as such. The Faisor is guaranteed to spawn as an elemental weapon and shoots energy bolts instead of bullets, which limits its utility for long-range combat as the elemental bolts have slower projectile speed. However, the increased damage and guaranteed shotgun attachment make it a powerful close-range weapon.
Additionally, the shotgun attachment's slower bolts deal splash damage in a small area, making it a viable weapon for a splash damage Moze character build, given sufficient investment into ammo recovery to offset the low capacity.
Notes
- As this weapon's main purpose is focused on the underbarrel shotgun (which has individual magazine size), the 50-round magazine is better than 60-round one for higher damage.
- Hotfix 3/5/2020: Shotgun pellet count increased from 6 to 8. Patch notes indicate increased weapon damage, although this does not seem to appear in-game.
Trivia
- The flavor text and name are a reference to the "Set Phasers to Kill" phrase from the Star Trek television series in which crew members were issued Phasers that could be set to stun or to kill.
