Thoughtlock is the tier 6 skill in Maya's Motion skill tree. It turns Phaselock into a "brainwash" that temporarily turns one enemy into an ally, which causes enemies to attack the Thoughtlocked target.

Notes
- Despite the in-game description of this skill, Thoughtlock does not lengthen the cooldown of Maya's Phaselock by 3 seconds.
- Thoughtlocked targets will have a small phaselock bubble around their heads. For larger targets, this might not be noticeable.
- If used on a single target with no enemies around, Thoughtlock will make the target passive to player attacks until the effect ends.
- Thoughtlock increases the base duration of Phaselock from 5 to 9 seconds. Points in Suspension will increase this further, up to 14.5 seconds.
- Thoughtlocking the same enemy within 25 seconds will reduce the duration of Thoughtlock to 2/3 of the maximum duration.
- Due to Thoughtlock's longer duration (with a 9 second base duration), Thoughtlocking the same enemy repeatedly is more rewarding than with a default Phaselock, as it will still last around 6 seconds at minimum.
- Thoughtlocked enemies can still be harmed by players.
- On consoles before Patch v1.02, Thoughtlocked enemies appeared as allies with a green health bar, and could not be harmed by players.
- Thoughtlocked surveyors can heal Vault Hunters and loaders.
- Thoughtlocked Enraged Goliaths will not attack Vault Hunters.
- Enemies who cannot be Phaselocked also cannot be Thoughtlocked, and take the standard fixed Phaselock damage upon being Thoughtlocked.
- Any ability that would trigger normally with Phaselock still works with Thoughtlock (Converge, Helios, Elated, Wreck, Chain Reaction, and Sweet Release).
- Using Thoughtlock on a Varkid pod will result in the pod not opening until it receives damage.
- A status effect inflicted on Maya will stop doing damage if the enemy who created the status effect comes under the control of Thoughtlock.
