About
Malcolm was the husband of Amon, and a fellow member of the Vault Monster-worshipping cultists on Perium.[1]
Malcolm and Amon's sister used to fight to see who would get to be the host for the annual solstice celebration, one of the important days for the cult. Malcolm was always bested by his sister-in-law, though Amon preferred Malcolm's desserts over hers.[1]
Amon used to call Malcolm "Mr. Universe" as a pet name, because Malcolm was more to him than just his world. Malcolm never asked for anything for his birthday, and Amon felt he never could find a gift that was worthy of Malcolm, though he tried his best.[2] [1]
When the cult attempted to open the Vault, the Vault Monster slaughtered Malcolm and every other cultist it could find, and Amon was the sole survivor. Amon vowed to slay as many Vault Monsters as he could to avenge the death of Malcolm, his sister, and everyone else he had loved. Before leaving Perium, Amon broke off a piece of stone, possibly Malcolm's gravestone, to bring with him as a way of keeping Malcolm with him, and to help him remember the important days of his life that was now forever gone.[1]
