Hyperion Punch is a tier 5 skill in Claptrap's Boomtrap skill tree.
Dealing explosive damage grants Claptrap a stack of Hyperion Punch. Upon gaining five stacks, pressing the melee button causes Claptrap to salute before firing a flaming boxing glove, which flies forward a short distance before homing onto a nearby opponent. The boxing glove causes a large Incendiary explosion. Hyperion Punch will not activate if Claptrap has less than five stacks. Bonus damage increases with skill leveling.

Notes
- Kills with Hyperion Punch are treated as Rocket Launcher kills but can only count as splash damage kills.
- Pressing primary fire during Meat Unicycle will trigger this skill if you have enough stacks.
Trivia
- This skill is a reference to the Falcon Punch, an attack used by Captain Falcon in the Super Smash Bros. series.[1] In addition, the dialogue Claptrap shouts when using this skill are references to Captain Falcon's signature quotes: 'Show me what ya got! (Show me your moves!)" and "Come On!" are two of Captain Falcon's taunt quotes, while "Hyperion.... Heart!" mimics the way Captain Falcon announces "Falcon.... Punch!". Claptrap's animation in first person also shows him doing a delayed salute, a reference to Captain Falcon's down taunt.[2]
- Hyperion Punch does not receive melee, grenade, explosive, or rocket launcher damage bonuses. Hyperion Punch is only boosted by Incendiary damage bonuses (tested via subroutines).
